2015 Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship, Taiwan

Tobias, a student from the Western Honors Program, received the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship and taught English to 3rd graders in Fengyuan, a suburb of Taipei and the capital of Taiwan, He had four classes each day, and co-taught about twenty-five students per class. Adored by his students, Tobias reported the overall experience was very rewarding. Even early on in his Fulbright, he felt that he had “grown immensely.” His trusty scooter took him everywhere and allowed him to immerse himself in Taiwanese culture.

After Fulbright, Tobias attended graduate school at the University of Washington (Jackson School of International Studies) and received his Master’s in International Relations and Affairs.
