Award/Details

2015 Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship, Germany

Sadi hails from a long line of teachers and embodies that quality most inherent in teaching: the spirit of curiosity and teamwork. The experience of instructing a German course in the absence of the assigned teacher led her to realize how much she genuinely enjoys teaching. Sadi views education as a team effort, one that produces great rewards, and exemplified this often in her years as a paraeducator, tutor, and nanny before graduating from Western. She planned to bring many of the activities and games common in German education to her classrooms here in the United States. Upon her return, Sadi has stuck to her dream to continue working in linguistics or education and to continue to use language to inspire others by working in student services focusing on student success.
