Olivia Mothershead

Olivia traveled to Austria to teach English to high school students. Her extensive preparation included classes in how to teach English grammar and the application of linguistics and Second Language Acquisition Theory to her teaching, in addition to her practicum in TESOL. These classes gave her the competency and confidence to thrive teaching German-speaking students. In Austria, she most looked forward to improving her German and “playing in the snow of the Alps, maybe while singing and dressing up like Maria von Trapp.”
