Amy Dao

As a first-generation college student, Amy never thought that she would be able to receive a higher education, let alone travel abroad while getting a bachelor's degree. To be a Gilman International Scholarship recipient meant that she was able to achieve her dreams of pursuing an international education in order to gain a worldly perspective. Throughout her internship she was able to connect with researchers in the exercise science field and meet other scholars with similar aspirations. Amy was incredibly thankful for the opportunity she received and intended to pursue a doctorate degree in physical therapy with hopes to inspire future generations to chase after their goals
